1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Website Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the
Scientia Digital Jobs Board at scientiadigital.io/jobs and its related pages
(the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Scientia Digital Inc., a company
based in Ontario, Canada (“Scientia Digital,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Purpose of the Site
The Site provides information about contract and employment opportunities sourced from client and procurement portals, including opportunities associated with the Ontario Public Service (OPS), Ontario’s Broader Public Sector (BPS), Metrolinx (MLX), and Service New Brunswick (SNB). Other sources may be added or removed over time.
The Site is an informational recruitment resource. It is not the authoritative source record for a requisition and does not create an employment, contractor, agency, partnership, or other legal relationship between you and any client merely because you view or respond to a posting.
References to clients, public bodies, portal operators, or other organizations identify the source or subject of an opportunity. They do not mean that those organizations own, operate, sponsor, or endorse the Site unless expressly stated.
3. AI-Assisted Job Content
Some job details displayed on the Site are extracted, reorganized, normalized, summarized, or drafted with assistance from artificial intelligence and other automated tools using underlying requisition materials.
AI-assisted and automated processing can produce errors, omissions, misleading wording, formatting problems, or outdated information. Scientia Digital uses reasonable quality-control measures, including automated validation, periodic sample-based human audits, and correction of identified issues. These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee that every posting is complete, accurate, current, or individually reviewed by a person.
If Site content conflicts with an official requisition, portal record, client-issued document, or direct written communication from Scientia Digital, the official or direct source controls. You should confirm material details with Scientia Digital before relying on them, including eligibility, responsibilities, mandatory qualifications, compensation, work location, submission requirements, closing dates, and vacancy status.
Suspected errors may be reported to info@scientiadigital.io with the
requisition ID and a description of the issue.
4. Applicant Assessment
Scientia Digital does not use AI to screen, assess, rank, or select applicants after applications arrive. AI assistance described in Section 3 concerns preparation of job-detail content, not applicant decision-making.
Clients or prospective employers may use separate recruitment processes. Any disclosure legally required in relation to their use of AI remains subject to the applicable posting and recruitment requirements.
5. No Job Offer or Guarantee
A posting is not an offer of employment or engagement. Opportunities may be amended, suspended, filled, cancelled, closed, or removed without notice. Scientia Digital does not guarantee:
- that a posting remains available;
- that a client will interview, assess, or select any applicant;
- that an application will be received before a deadline;
- that stated rates, dates, locations, requirements, or other terms will remain unchanged; or
- that use of the Site will result in an interview, submission, placement, contract, or employment.
You remain responsible for deciding whether to apply and for independently confirming information material to that decision.
6. Applications and Communications
The Site may open your email application using a mailto: link. The Site does
not provide an application-upload form or candidate account. When you send an
application, your email, resume, attachments, and other information are
transmitted through your chosen email service to Scientia Digital.
You are responsible for ensuring that your application is accurate, lawful, virus-free, and submitted before the applicable deadline. An automated or manual acknowledgement does not guarantee client submission or consideration.
7. Limited Permission to Use the Site
Subject to these Terms, Scientia Digital grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and use the Site for lawful job-search, recruitment, and application purposes.
You must not:
- interfere with the Site, its hosting, security, or operation;
- attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts;
- use the Site or its content for fraud, impersonation, harassment, unlawful discrimination, or another unlawful purpose;
- misrepresent a posting or your relationship with Scientia Digital or a client;
- remove ownership, attribution, confidentiality, or other notices; or
- systematically scrape, harvest, republish, sell, or commercially exploit Site content without prior written permission.
Ordinary sharing of a job link with a potential applicant is permitted.
8. Intellectual Property and Source Material
The Site’s software, design, branding, compilation, editorial content, and original materials are owned by Scientia Digital or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Underlying requisition descriptions, client names, trademarks, and source materials may belong to clients, public bodies, portal operators, or other rights holders. Display on the Site does not transfer ownership to Scientia Digital or to you.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site depends on third-party services, which may include Google Cloud Storage, Firebase Hosting, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, email providers, and linked websites. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Scientia Digital does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or conduct.
10. Privacy and Analytics
Use of personal information and Google Analytics is described in the Site’s Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms for purposes of explaining our information-handling practices.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without representations, warranties, conditions, or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral. This includes implied warranties or conditions of accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Without limiting the foregoing, Scientia Digital does not warrant that AI-assisted content, automated transformations, source data, deadlines, requirements, rates, or other posting details are free from mistakes.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scientia Digital and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss or damage, or for loss of opportunity, income, profit, data, reputation, employment, engagement, or contract, arising from or related to:
- use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Site;
- an inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unavailable, or AI-assisted posting;
- a missed, changed, or incorrect submission deadline;
- an application that is not received, submitted, considered, or selected;
- a client or third party’s decision or conduct; or
- interruption, suspension, modification, or removal of the Site or a posting.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scientia Digital’s aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Site will not exceed the greater of: (a) CAD $100; and (b) the amount you paid Scientia Digital specifically to use the Site during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right, remedy, warranty, condition, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. These Terms do not excuse fraud, wilful misconduct, or a statutory obligation that cannot lawfully be waived.
13. Availability, Corrections, and Changes
Scientia Digital may correct, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site or any posting at any time. We are not required to preserve access to a posting after it closes or is removed, except where records must be retained by law or contract.
14. Suspension or Termination of Access
Scientia Digital may suspend or terminate access to the Site where reasonably necessary to protect the Site, its users, clients, systems, legal rights, or contractual obligations, or to respond to suspected misuse.
15. Governing Law and Forum
These Terms and use of the Site are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any right or forum that applicable law does not permit you to waive, disputes relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought before the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
16. General Terms
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing use of the Site.
17. Changes to These Terms
Scientia Digital may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Site, sources, practices, or law. The revised version will show a new effective date. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention through a reasonable notice on the Site. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
